The owner calls at four.
The answer is on one screen.
Where does the job stand? On most jobs that answer lives in three binders, a text thread, and the superintendent’s memory. xBuild keeps the whole job on one record: contract and margin up top, the schedule against the plan, the open paper with the ball in court named, and the latest from the field underneath it.
- One record per job
- Ball in court on every item
- The won bid becomes the budget

One job record. Every tool.
Every open item names who owes the answer.
RFIs, submittals, and change orders run on the job record, and every one of them carries the ball in court and the date it is due. Nothing waits in an inbox pretending to be someone else’s problem: the board reads who has it, how long they have had it, and what it is worth.
- RFIs and submittals with the ball in court and the due date on every row.
- Change orders carry the dollars, the status, and the trail to the owner’s approval.
- An approved change order lands in the contract value; the dashboard moves with it.

Today's photos
The day, as it happened.
The day goes on the record before the gate locks.
The daily log is filed from the site, not reconstructed on Friday: weather, crews and head count by firm, deliveries with the ticket number, and what each trade actually did. Punch items and photos land on the same day they happened, so the record answers questions months later without anyone’s memory involved.
- Daily logs with weather, crews, head count, and deliveries, filed the same day.
- Punch items carry their status and their spot on the job.
- Photos ride the log, so the day and its pictures stay together.
The owner sees the job without calling you.
Your client opens a clean, branded view of their job: progress in plain language, the milestones ahead, and the change orders and selections waiting on them, with progress photos leading. You choose what shows, per client, and the portal is a projection of the record, not a second set of books someone has to keep current.
- Progress, milestones, and the decisions waiting on the owner, in plain language.
- You pick what each client sees; two clients on one job can see two different views.
- Photos lead. An owner opens the portal to watch their building go up.

The schedule
A real Gantt with activity detail, sequenced by trade. Baselines against the plan and look-ahead windows are landing now.
Budget and cost
The bid you won freezes into the budget baseline to the cent. Commitments and the cost report read against it per cost code.
Change orders
Added scope carries its dollars and its paper trail from pricing to owner approval, and the contract value follows.
Meeting minutes
Minutes live on the job with the action items tracked, so the same open item stops reappearing week after week.
Documents
Drawings, specs, and the job paper in one place on the record, not spread across inboxes and thumb drives.
Vendors and subs
One directory of the firms you build with, tied to the jobs, the paper, and the people on site.
What is not here yet
This page only claims what the software does today. These are the ones a project manager asks about first, and none of them exist right now. When they ship, this page changes the same day.
See the roadmap- No pay applications. The schedule of values, progress billing, and retainage are on the roadmap, not the record.
- Bills do not land against commitments yet. The cost report reads the baseline and the committed number; the invoices still live in your accounting system.
- No field time. Crew hours do not hit cost codes the day they happen; labor cost arrives when the bookkeeping does.
- No transmittals on drawing revisions. Who received which set still rides on the email that sent it.
You buy it. You keep it.
Approved companies buy a lifetime license once and keep it. There is no per-seat fee that grows every time you hire a project manager, and the job records, cost history, and field logs stay your company’s to export in full. Run it on our hosting or on your own server.
The job moves every day. The record should too.
